History Of Nantwich:
Nantwich is known for a variety of historic events, the most famous being the Battle of Nantwich, however, that’s only a slight insight into the many years of events that have happened to create the Nantwich we know today, for a deeper dive into Nantwich click HERE
Food and Beverage:
One of the most attractive events is the Nantwich Food Festival which takes place every year on the first weekend of September and is completely free to attend! This event is perfect if you want to try out all the different local plates and is a huge hit. If you’re looking for the best places to dine and have a drink, click HERE to see more. One of our personal favourites is The Leopard Pub on London Road, which has a range of dishes and that 'pub grub' feeling.
Events
Nantwich is also known for the markets, which are open Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Due to the great community, Nantwich often has many events and fundraisers that will appeal to anyone! To find out more events you can visit the What's On Where site provided by Nantwich Nub News. For weekly events the Thursday Club has activities on every Thursday aimed towards those with dementia and their carers. It is volunteer led and located in the town centre, opposite the church. Within these sessions there is tea, coffee and biscuits provided and many engaging activites.
