Gavin Preston - Managing Director

Gavin has invested 30 years of his career focused on improvement.  How can the individuals and teams in a business improve the standards and quality of their product or service to their clients or customers.

After a strong professional grounding for his career with KPMG, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, he has worked nationally and internationally with major corporations and with countless small to medium sized business in the UK, helping them to grow and improve.

Author of ‘Survive and Thrive’ a business book helping business owners deal with the challenging times and achieve good times, Right at Home UK and a number of Right at Home Franchise owners were clients of Gavin.  This gave him an insight into the high standards and dedication that all of those working in the Right at Home family bring to their clients across the UK.

When Gavin became aware of the opportunity to buy Right at Home South Liverpool in 2022, the combination of the extensive experience and skills of his Wife Lowri (Co-owner and Director of Care) and Gavin’s business experience made it a natural decision to apply their respective skills and experience to making a difference in the home care sector in South Liverpool and Halton and then, when the opportunity arose, in Preston & South Ribble. Lowri and Gavin bring a warm family feel to the business. Step by step Right at Home South Liverpool is getting a reputation for being the go to provider of home care due to the quality of care, speed of response and excellent customer service.

When not in work, Gavin enjoys spending time with Lowri and their two boys in the outdoors.  Gavin’s lifetime love of the sea and boats has lead him to join RNLI Llandudno as volunteer crew member for both their inshore and all weather lifeboats. The intensive and professional training to achieve ever higher levels of qualification on both of those search and rescue assets is an indication of Gavin’s approach to constant and never ending improvement both inside and outside of work.
