Fact: Datchworth has become known as one of the most haunted places in England! One lady, who was walking her dog through the graveyard of All Saints Church, heard a noise that she described sounded like "a thousand chattering monkeys". Her dog ran away in fright, and the lady said she was overcome with a feeling of oppression that stayed with her her once she had left.

Live-In Care

In addition to our hourly homecare service, we offer a fully managed live-in care service. We recruit and manage live-in CareGivers to ensure top-quality care, tailored to meet our clients' needs and preferences. Live-in care can be more cost-effective than residential care, especially for couples.

Each live-in care arrangement is unique, designed to create a comfortable situation for everyone involved. Our live-in carers require their own room and require a small break every day. Otherwise, they follow a personalised care plan in the same way as our hourly service.

At Right at Home Stevenage, Letchworth and Hitchin, we actively manage and monitor our live-in care to maintain high standards. This includes regular reviews of care records, such as CareGivers' notes and medication administration, and frequent check-ins with Clients and CareGivers. We also visit regularly to observe and ensure the quality of care.

The CareGiver will usually work for around 10 hours per day. The CareGiver's stay duration varies, often with several weeks on duty followed by a break.

We have prepared a video that gives an overview of our live-in care service, which you can view on this page. We have also written a blog on live-in care, which you can view by clicking here.
