Live-In Care in Dorking: A Guide to Our Services

At Right at Home Sutton & Mid-Surrey, we understand that moving into residential care can be a challenging prospect. That’s why we offer live-in care in Dorking as a compassionate and cost-effective alternative, allowing you or your loved one to remain in the comfort of your own home, even when more intensive care is needed.

Why Choose Live-In Care?

Staying at home, surrounded by familiar surroundings and cherished memories, offers a comfort that residential care simply cannot match. Live-in care provides the opportunity to continue living in your beloved home, with personalised support tailored to your needs.

Here are a few reasons why live-in care might be the perfect solution:

  • Familiar Environment: Nothing compares to the comfort of home. Live-in care ensures that you can continue to enjoy your personal space, surrounded by your belongings and memories.
  • Personalised Care: Our CareGivers provide care that is tailored to your specific needs and preferences, ensuring the right level of support at all times.
  • Cost-Effective: Live-in care is often a more affordable option than residential care, particularly for those requiring continuous support.
  • Companionship: Beyond meeting your physical needs, our CareGivers offer companionship and often form meaningful, long-term relationships with Clients.
  • Pet-Friendly: Live-in care allows you to keep your pets at home, with CareGivers available to help care for them as needed.

How Live-In Care Works

When employing a live-in CareGiver, it's important to provide them with a comfortable and private space, such as a spare room, where they can rest and unwind.

Additionally, your CareGiver will require a daily two-hour break to ensure they maintain their well-being and can continue delivering high-quality care.

To make the experience as smooth as possible, we work closely with you to establish flexible arrangements, tailoring care routines, meal plans, and schedules to suit your household's unique lifestyle and needs.

Meal Preparation & Preferences

At Right at Home, we understand the importance of mealtimes. Our CareGivers can assist with meal preparation, ensuring that your dietary needs and preferences are respected. Sharing meals with your CareGiver can also offer valuable companionship, making mealtimes more enjoyable.

Dedicated Comprehensive Support

Our CareGivers typically provide care for 10 hours within each 24-hour period, allowing you to have the support you need while maintaining your independence. The length of stay and working hours are flexible and can be adjusted to suit your circumstances.

"Right at Home provides a reliable, personal, and truly caring experience. My aunt has benefited enormously from the companionship, as well as bed care, feeding, laundry, and light housework. They truly deserve their outstanding rating, and I really don't know what we would have done without them. The individual carers have proven beyond a doubt that they will go above and beyond to ensure my aunt spends her final weeks in a warm, loving, and respectful environment in her own home."
