A Wonderful Celebration at The Hello Club!
We are delighted to share that March 7th was a truly special day at The Hello Club, as we welcomed Luke Alexander Taylor, the Member of Parliament for Sutton and Cheam, to celebrate with us! It was an honour to have Luke there, supporting and appreciating the incredible community spirit that The Hello Club fosters.
A highlight of the day was the stunning exhibition of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, which has been beautifully put together by The Hello Club. Their hard work and dedication have resulted in a truly wonderful display, which now sits in Throwley Way Cinema for all to see. This exhibition is a testament to the creativity and passion of The Hello Club members, and they should be incredibly proud of what they have achieved for both individuals and the wider community.
The Hello Club, founded in 2013, has long been a beacon of friendship, inclusivity, and joy for those over 50. With a variety of activities, including social afternoons, arts and crafts, and chair-based exercises, the club provides a warm and welcoming space for everyone who attends. Seeing so many people come together on this special day was a true testament to the strong sense of community The Hello Club fosters.
At Right at Home, we are incredibly proud to support the amazing work that The Hello Club does. Our partnership has been a rewarding experience, allowing us to witness firsthand the joy, laughter, and connections that flourish within this community.
Our Community Relations Manager, Maeve McMillan, captured the spirit of the club perfectly: “Every community should have one.” The warmth and inclusivity of The Hello Club ensure that everyone who walks through its doors feels at home. Whether it was enjoying a friendly chat over a cup of tea, exploring the exhibition, or indulging in the delicious refreshments, there was something for everyone to enjoy on this wonderful day.
A True Celebration of Community
The day was filled with lively conversations, shared memories, and a deep appreciation for the sense of belonging The Hello Club provides. It was a pleasure to see so many people come together, reinforcing the importance of strong community connections.
As always, The Hello Club continues to offer its regular sessions at Christ Church, Christchurch Park in Sutton.
We are so proud to be part of this vibrant and caring community and look forward to many more moments of joy and celebration at The Hello Club. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made this day so memorable!
