The Hello Club and Right at Home

At Right at Home, we believe in the power of community, and we’re proud to work closely with The Hello Club, a wonderful group dedicated to supporting those over 50. The Hello Club, founded in 2013, creates a warm and welcoming space where members can come together, meet new people, and enjoy a variety of fun and fulfilling activities. From social afternoons to creative arts and chair-based exercises, there's something for everyone!

The connection between Right at Home and The Hello Club has been an important and rewarding one for both us and the community. Our team loves attending the social events, and we find them not only enjoyable but deeply meaningful. Whether it's sharing laughs over a cup of tea or participating in craft sessions, these moments are enriching for everyone involved.

Maeve McMillan, our Community Relations Manager, sums it up perfectly: “Every community should have one.” She’s right! The Hello Club has a way of making everyone feel welcome, no matter how nervous they might feel about trying something new. The club’s volunteers work hard to create an inclusive atmosphere, and after a few visits, it feels just like home.

When and Where

The Hello Club meets three times a week at Christ Church, Christchurch Park in Sutton. Each session offers something different:
- Tuesdays, 2:45 pm - 3:45 pm: Chair-based Exercise (£3 per session)
- Wednesdays, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm: Social Club (£1 per session)
- Thursdays, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm: Arts and Crafts (£2 per session)

We’re incredibly proud to be part of these vibrant gatherings. If you’re looking for a friendly space to meet others and engage in fun activities, we highly recommend stopping by The Hello Club. After all, at Right at Home, we know that community is at the heart of well-being, and we’re grateful to be a part of such a wholesome initiative.
