A Sizzling Success: Right at Home Swindon's Memory Walk for Alzheimer's Society

Introduction
At Right at Home Swindon, we're not just about providing exceptional care for our Clients; we're also passionate about making a positive impact in our community. That's why we wholeheartedly support the Alzheimer's Society and are committed to being a part of the journey for those living with dementia. To show our dedication, we recently organised a Memory Walk at the beautiful Lydiard Park, and we couldn't be more thrilled with the outcome!
Walking Together for a Cause:
On one of the hottest days this year, our team, along with our Clients, their families, friends, and even our furry mascot, Bailey, gathered at Lydiard Park. With sunscreen and smiles aplenty, we embarked on a leisurely stroll through the scenic park, raising funds and awareness for Alzheimer's Society.
Our passion for supporting Alzheimer's Society is deeply ingrained in our company culture. We don't just talk the talk; we walk the walk - quite literally! Right at Home Swindon has its own specialised dementia support program, ensuring our staff is equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to provide top-notch care to those in need.
The Memory Walk at Lydiard Park was a sight to behold. While some of us opted for the 2-kilometer route, others with boundless energy and enthusiasm went the extra mile (or should we say 5 kilometres!) in the scorching sun. Luckily, Lydiard Park's generous tree cover provided some much-needed shade along the way.
Halfway through the walk, we took a break to refuel and rehydrate, treating ourselves to some ice cream to beat the heat. And, of course, we made sure that even Bailey, our beloved furry companion, had his share of the fun with a refreshing doggy ice cream! But the real treat came at the end, we feasted on a BBQ spread. Hotdogs, burgers, and chilled refreshments were the perfect reward for our efforts. Thank you to all those who came and supported us to set up and run the event!
A Heartwarming Atmosphere:
The real highlight of the day, however, was the atmosphere. The buzz of camaraderie and the sound of laughter filled the air as everyone came together, sharing stories, and strengthening bonds. The warmth of the summer evening was matched only by the warmth in our hearts as we celebrated our shared commitment to a fantastic cause.

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated in our Memory Walk and to those who couldn't make it but supported us with donations. So far, we've raised over £250, and our JustGiving page will continue to accept donations throughout September and October for anyone who'd like to contribute to this noble cause.
