Our Partnership Approach
For several months now, Right at Home Telford has been actively and voluntarily involved in supporting the efforts of the Forum 50+ Social Groups to tackle loneliness and provide a sociable place for people in our community. At Right at Home, we believe in the power of community support and its ability to transform lives. Through our partnership with the Social Groups, we strive to make a positive impact on the lives of people in the Telford and Wrekin and surrounding areas.
Right at Home Telford: Aligning Values for Community Care
Our services align with the values and goals of the Forum 50+ Social Groups in that we continuously strive to make a difference in the lives of seniors. Understanding that loneliness is not merely the absence of social contact but rather the absence of meaningful relationships, we focus on providing personalised care that fosters emotional and social bonds.
Our partnership with the Forum 50+ Social Groups has allowed us to be a part of engaging workshops and activities tailored specifically for older adults in our area. These events not only provide opportunities for individuals to meet new people but also serve as platforms for sharing experiences, knowledge exchange, and fostering intergenerational connections.

Loneliness, a subjective feeling of lack or loss of companionship, affects a staggering 49.63% of adults in the UK, with 7.1% suffering from chronic loneliness. This unwelcome emotion arises from a discrepancy between desired and actual social relationships. Our joint initiative with Forum 50+ addresses this discrepancy by fostering meaningful connections.
