Jane Sweetapple

Hi, my name is Jane, I came into care after being made redundant from an Office Management position due to COVID 19. Being stuck at home alone gave me the opportunity to reflect and re-evaluate my career choices. I had spent most of my working life as a Customer Service Manager which I am enthusiastic about, however I am also passionate about helping people and have always admired those that selected caring as their vocation.

After finding myself unemployed I started to re-think my options, I did not want to return to a 9-5 office job, I wanted to help people and I wanted more flexibility in my working life.

I found Right at Home, took my key skills from my Customer Service background, and applied them to supporting people in their own homes and I absolutely love it. Every day is a new challenge, I feel fully supported by my fabulous colleagues and I really enjoy meeting the needs of our lovely Clients.

When I had been with the company for two years, I was offered a great opportunity to draw on my previous skills and become the Induction Trainer for our new caregivers, but I also still go out on calls to our clients, after all it feels more like visiting to help out friends rather than work!
