Live-in CareGiver goes the extra mile for her special Client
Nancy, who has lived in the Maidenhead Riverside area for 50 years, was delighted when her Carer Constance planned a jam-packed day of surprises to celebrate her special day, beginning with a bunch of beautiful pink flowers, featuring roses and cherry blossoms.
To ensure Nancy had no idea of the day of celebrations ahead, her sneaky care team sent a birthday card and small gesture a few days ahead of her actual birthday.
On the big day Nancy was showered with presents, including a new pink baseball cap, which were all decorated in pink wrapping and accompanied by pink balloons and a pink birthday cake.
To top off the day, Constance arranged a surprise party for Nancy (who has often been described as the life and soul of the party) bringing together 20 of her family and close friends at Cliveden House where they shared afternoon tea together.
Constance has been Nancy’s CareGiver since she joined Right at Home Maidenhead in 2022. During this time, the pair formed a very close bond and Constance moved into Nancy’s home to provide her with live-in care and help her maintain her independence as much as possible.
Managing Director of Right at Home Maidenhead, Scott McRae said: “Nancy always makes us laugh and smile on her care calls. I love seeing how much our team of CareGivers enjoy Nancy’s company and the lengths they will go to give her really special memories.”
Nancy Hudson | Client"This was a wonderful experience and the best birthday I ever had. I loved seeing so many people I cherish all in one place and hearing from friends from further away - I received 43 birthday cards! My carers know how much I love the colour pink, so it was so special to me that they incorporated it into every part of the day."
