Award-winning homecare provider, Right at Home are delighted to add two more titles to their list of accolades.

On Tuesday 11 October at this year’s Leaders in Care Awards, despite fierce competition, Right at Home took home the Business Initiative of the Year Award - whilst CEO, Lucy Campbell, was announced as Business Executive of the Year. Right at Home UK was also named a finalist in the Homecare Provider of the Year category.

Each year, key players in the social care sector come together for the Leaders in Care Awards, organised by Home Care Insight and Care Home Professional to celebrate outstanding achievements from the last 12 months.

In January 2022, Right at Home UK saw COO Lucy Campbell appointed the new position of CEO for the franchise group. Eternally optimistic for the future, Lucy’s ability to inspire and lead have seen her take the network from strength to strength, making her a clear choice of winner for the Business Executive title. Despite another year of obstacles for the sector, she has become a voice not just for Right at Home, but for social care.

Judges praised Lucy for her commitment to both Right at Home’s development, as well as that of the wider care sector, describing her as “a powerful and inspiring voice for care, delivering powerful messages calling for change to the right people.”

Speaking on the award wins, Right at Home UK CEO, Lucy Campbell said: “I was very humbled and honoured to have been awarded the Executive of the Year title, which although technically a personal award, is absolutely in recognition of the collective endeavours of our wonderful network and of course my loyal and dedicated colleagues at National Office.

“We are delighted to have received not one, but two awards at this very special event. The Business Initiative of the Year Award is a testament to the incredible hard work and commitment of Right at Home to get social care professionals the recognition they deserve. I would like to say a very special congratulations to Heather Wehrle who has worked tirelessly to bring her vision to life through this campaign, making it as powerful as it is, during a time when it was truly needed.”

When it came to selecting the winners of the Business Initiative of the Year Award, the judging panel were impressed by Right at Home’s dedication to make lasting and impactful change for the entire social care sector and its workforce. They praised the homecare provider’s bold moves that challenge misconceptions of careers in care, calling on media and the government to show the profession for what it is - during one of the toughest periods for recruitment the industry has ever seen. Judges were impressed with the outcomes and clear positive change that the campaign has caused.

Heather Wehrle, National People and Brand Development Manager said: “I am always proud to be a member of the Right at Home family, but days like today are especially noteworthy. These awards don’t just demonstrate our commitment to our Clients and CareGivers, but to creating true, lasting, positive change for our colleagues in the whole sector – ultimately so more people can receive outstanding, quality care when they need it

The latest accolades for the group highlight, once again, its dedication to providing the highest quality care for Clients and their families, as well as the continued dedication to improving the professional career path for care workers across the UK.

Continuing Right at Home’s mission to improve the perception of careers in social care, Heather Wehrle spoke at this week’s Care Show to educate other care providers on what they can do to improve their local reputation as an employer, and enhance brand visibility when attracting newcomers to the sector.
