Kellie Williams is named Right at Home’s CareGiver of the Year

We are thrilled to announce our 2020 CareGiver of the Year. Kellie Williams from Right at Home Cardiff and Newport was revealed as the winner during our annual Celebration Awards ceremony.  The awards were held virtually this year, on the afternoon of Thursday 19 November.

Speaking on the awards, our CEO Ken Deary said: “Our Celebration Awards are a fantastic opportunity to come together as a network and recognise the efforts of the offices and staff who are bringing to life our motto of ‘making a difference every day’.

“This year has undoubtedly presented a number of challenges for those operating in the social care sector. So it’s now more important than ever to come together and recognise the above and beyond lengths our network has undergone to keep our Clients, CareGivers and communities safe and supported during the pandemic.”

Kellie was put forward for the award by Right at Home Cardiff and Newport Managing Director, Joe Guishard. After hearing about Kellie’s nomination, one of her Client’s said: “I am not surprised Kellie has been put forward as your CareGiver of the Year. She is very special in so many ways.

“She has such a happy, outgoing approach to everything she does and her warmth and positivity bring real cheer and laughter into the homes of those she cares for, many of whom see no one else in their day.”

Commenting on her award win, Kellie, who has worked at Right at Home for almost seven years, said: “I would like to say how much working in care has made my life so much more rewarding. To be able to visit Clients and know how much it means to them makes my day much better.

“Right at Home makes you feel very much a part of their family and the support and help that they give is also very encouraging.”

Right at Home UK’s CEO, Ken Deary, added: “Congratulations to Kellie on this fantastic achievement. Kellie is a wonderful ambassador for Right at Home and very highly thought of by her Clients and their families. Well done Kellie and thank you for your tremendous efforts and commitment to exceptional care.”

Amongst the winners were Sara Woodley from Right at Home Guildford and Farnham and Emily Colliss from Right at Home Basingstoke, who were jointly named Registered Manager of the Year.
