Right at Home Celebrates Two Outstanding Leadership Awards

Published: 24/10/2024

We are delighted to announce that two members of our Right at Home family have been honoured with prestigious awards in recognition of their exceptional leadership abilities.

Both leaders have guided their teams to achieve remarkable outcomes over the past year, and we’re thrilled to see them receive such well-deserved recognition.

The first to receive her award was Claire Moseley, Registered Manager at Right at Home Loughborough, who was named Care Leader of the Year at the Care Professional of the Year Awards, held in Leicester on 4 October.

This event, organised by Inspired to Care, a project funded by Leicestershire and Leicester councils to promote careers in care, celebrates individuals who excel in caring for residents across the county and city.

Claire joined RaH Loughborough as a CareGiver in April 2022 after experiencing burnout in her previous role with a high-volume, intensive care provider.

Keen to continue working in the field she loved, Claire sought a team that would truly value her, and she found that at RaH Loughborough.

It soon became evident that Claire had the skills and dedication to excel as a Care Coordinator, a role in which she thrived before her promotion to Registered Manager earlier this year.

Since stepping into this role, Claire has significantly improved RaH Loughborough’s internal compliance rating, working closely with our National Office compliance team to identify service gaps and drive enhancements.

Despite personal health challenges, Claire has shown unwavering commitment to her team, resulting in the achievement of a 5 Star Employer Award, based on CareGiver reviews.

Reflecting on her award, Claire said: “Winning the Care Leader of the Year Award was the proudest moment of my life. It came as a shock as I didn't think I would win, but I am overjoyed to have received it. Being recognised makes me feel valued, appreciated and motivated to achieve more.”

David Newcombe, Owner of RaH Loughborough, extended his congratulations, saying: “Claire has been instrumental in growing our business to where it is today and supporting our care team to do what they do best – making a positive difference to the lives of our wonderful Clients.”

Heather Wehrle, our Director of People and Brand at National Office, was also celebrated with a prestigious award this month. She was named Executive Leader of the Year at the Leaders in Care Awards, held in Birmingham on 8 October.

Heather was recognised for her vital role in Right at Home’s growth and success, including the launch of major initiatives and her efforts to positively highlight the broader social care sector.

Over the past year, Heather has pioneered impactful campaigns addressing key challenges in social care, leading to numerous discussions with influential policymakers.

Commenting on her award, Heather said: “It was a thrill to even be nominated in the same category as such inspiring and respected individuals, but to actually win the Executive Leader of the Year Award was a huge privilege.

“It’s a dream to be able to support our network of Franchise Owners and care professionals who make such a positive difference in the lives of their Clients. The work they do and the impact they have is what drives me and inspires me every single day.”

Congratulations to both Claire and Heather on their remarkable achievements!
