Right at Home has trio of entries in Homecare Power List
Published: 11/06/2021
We are delighted to share that Right at Home has three entries in a Power List showcasing inspirational leaders from the UK’s homecare sector.
The list was published in the June edition of the sector publication, Home Care Insight. The list has been compiled to highlight and celebrate the people whose mission it is to drive positive change in the sector, provide job opportunities that are fulfilling, and constantly pushing for quality improvements.
Our Chief Operating Officer, Lucy Campbell, features in the Business Executives category. In her entry, Lucy was recognised for leading Right at Home to its most successful year to date, despite the very challenging landscape. Her entry acknowledged the string of accolades Right at Home has achieved in 2020/2021, including our 5* Employer award for a third consecutive year and winning a Best Franchise Award. Lucy also won the prestigious Woman Franchisor of the Year Award at the EWiF (Encouraging Women in Franchising) Awards for a second consecutive year in March.
Our second listing for Right at Home’s National Office is Simon Osborne, Head of Quality and Compliance. Simon, who joined Right at Home in 2019, is named in the Quality and Compliance Champions list. Simon has more than 30 years’ experience in the industry and has supported Right at Home to achieve exemplary regulatory results. 100% of its inspected offices in England are rated ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the independent regulator for health and social care. In addition, 27% of its inspected offices are rated Outstanding, which is the highest possible rating that CQC can award.
Franchise Owner Alastair Shanks features in the Care Innovators category. Alastair opened Right at Home Guildford and Farnham in 2012 and has since opened Right at Home Alton and Bordon and acquired Right at Home Twickenham and Richmond earlier this year. Alastair’s entry highlighted his contribution to the Right at Home network, introducing and piloting innovative schemes, and in particular, the volunteer scheme he launched during the pandemic. The scheme saw Alastair recruit 180 volunteers, shopping for 130 people per week, free of charge, and providing Christmas lunches to 110 people across the local community.
Speaking on the Power List, our Chief Operating Officer, Lucy Campbell, said: “We are delighted to achieve three listings in Home Care Insight’s inaugural Power List, alongside some of the biggest names in our sector. The last 15 months have undoubtably seen the homecare sector facing the most challenging of times, but this list showcases the positive work providers are doing to ensure the very highest of standards and quality across our sector.”
