What Are the Benefits of Digital Health Checks?

Published: 28/02/2025

Right at Home is now offering remote clinical monitoring to offer an even higher standard of homecare service and give you more options when designing a care plan.

These digital health checks are powered by Whzan, a digital health company from the Isle of Wight. They provide comprehensive remote health and activity monitoring systems that can be installed at home.

What is a digital health check?

A digital health check is a way of monitoring a person’s condition without the need for a trained healthcare professional to be there in person. The results can be viewed on a tablet computer and provide you with up-to-date information regarding your health. A digital health check can measure vital signs and physiological parameters such as:

  • Temperature
  • Respiratory rate
  • Blood pressure
  • Pulse rate
  • Blood oxygen
  • Consciousness

Once this information is collected, you can view the data yourself, or provide it to loved ones, CareGivers, or your local GP.

By utilising digital health checks, you can identify changes in condition and early signs of deterioration, allowing confident escalation to healthcare professionals when appropriate.

What are the advantages of digital health checks?

  • Health issues can be caught earlier and dealt with quicker

Digital health checks can raise the quality of care services, and our CareGivers are able to utilise these tools to contact healthcare professionals with validated information.

It allows for continuous monitoring, regular snapshots, and provides an ongoing health picture. This means any changes in health can be caught earlier and dealt with quicker, potentially leading to better health outcomes.

  • Relieve pressure on the NHS

Digital health checks can provide an extra layer of preventative care for you and your family. This can prevent emergency hospitalisation, as signs of deterioration can be caught before they get more serious.

With the ability to monitor your condition remotely, it may also allow for earlier discharge from the hospital.

This has the potential to reduce hospital admissions, GP call outs and 111 calls, relieving pressure on the currently overstretched NHS services.

  • Reassurance

Digital health checks can give individuals more of an insight into their own condition, and they can relax a bit more knowing that they will be alerted of any changes.

This also means reassurance for your families and loved ones, as they know your health is being monitored even when they’re not around.

  • Receive Comprehensive Health Check at Home

Our digital health checks powered by Whzan allow for the completion of 50+ NHS assessments. This means you can receive the same assessments that you would in a clinical environment without leaving the comfort of your own home.
