Published: 03/01/2023
We’re pleased to announce the appointment of two new directors to support our network's collective mission of driving continuous improvement.
Heather Wehrle, former Head of People and Brand, has been promoted to Director of People and Brand after six years with us. While Simon Osborne, former Head of Quality and Compliance, has been promoted to Director of Quality, ‘In-Home’ and Clinical Care after three years in his previous position.
Both individuals have had an exceptional journey with us and had an extremely positive impact on our brand.
Heather began by implementing our industry-leading CareGiver training and has gone on to oversee our most impactful recruitment and marketing campaigns. Most recently, our Careers in Care Campaign, managed and implemented by Heather, was awarded Business Initiative of the Year at the 2022 Leaders in Care Awards. She is passionate about driving high standards across the network and wider social care sector, taking several speaking opportunities to share her expertise.
Speaking on her promotion Heather said: “I’ve been on quite the journey with Right at Home and feel privileged to have had the opportunity to play such a significant role in shaping today’s core offering. I absolutely adore the Right at Home brand and everything it stands for, so to be offered this promotion is a real honour. I can’t wait to work even closer with the network to ensure we continue propelling our special brand forward.”
Leading our compliance team, Simon supported the network in securing Outstanding CQC ratings for 34% of RaH’s inspected offices and played a key role in navigating them through the challenges of the pandemic. He has also been pivotal in establishing our revolutionary Dementia Support Programme which is currently being rolled out to offices across the UK.
Speaking on his promotion Simon said: “Being promoted to this level in an organisation as prestigious as Right at Home is a true honour and privilege. I look forward to working strategically and operationally to help take our fantastic network to even greater heights in the future and for many years to come”.
We are passionate about developing talent and leaders from within, in the last 12 months the National Office team has promoted eight individuals across multiple departments.
Lucy Campbell, who herself has progressed from Senior Business Support Manager to CEO, is passionate about investing in her team and recognising their achievements. She praised Heather and Simon’s dedication to the business by saying: “Heather and Simon have both been instrumental in propelling the Right at Home brand to where it is today. Both show extreme commitment, not least through some of the most challenging times our sector has faced. They are visionary and highly respected leaders. I am absolutely thrilled that they have been awarded Directorship and am excited to see them assisting in leading Right at Home to make a monumental difference in the lives of the people we support.”
Speaking of the superb news, Ken Deary, Right at Home Owner and Chairman, explained: “It has been fantastic to have witnessed the exceptional professional growth of these two individuals. Thanks to the development of our valued network over the years, we have pleasingly been able to create superb opportunities for our National Office team.
