Right at Home Calderdale is proud to cover Halifax and other surrounding areas in Calderdale. We pride ourselves on providing supportive and dedicated services at Right at Home for those who need it. Our priority is to keep our Clients in their familiar surroundings whilst allowing them to enjoy as much independence as possible.

Our fully-trained CareGivers are on hand for a range of services, from companionship, respite care, dementia care, personal care to hospital to home. We provide light housekeeping, great company for those who are lonely, medication reminders, and personal care. As you can see from our positive homecare reviews, we strive to provide the care that your loved one needs. Our caregivers are carefully matched to our clients in terms of interests, hobbies, culture and their ability to build a connection with each other.

Dementia Care

We understand that choosing care can be difficult. All of our Caregivers complete dementia specific training as part of their induction programme so they can work with you to meet your needs. We can ensure the home environment remains safe and advise on any adaptations that will make life easier for yourself or a loved one. We are dementia friends and a large part of our voluntary time is used to support local dementia support groups.

With Right at Home Calderdale, you can trust we will provide the best care and support for you and your loved ones.

We also like to take our clients out and about in the local area and these are some of the places our Caregivers like to take them:

The Piece Hall

This unique building is now a centre for Trade, Culture & Heritage, with a mix of shops, cafes, bars & events. Our Caregivers have supported clients to attend live music events, craft fairs and exhibitions. The Piece Hall is a great place to explore as well as enjoy coffee & cake !

Shibden Park & Hall

Shibden Hall and Park is one of West Yorkshire's most important heritage sites. It is a jewel in the crown of Calderdale's cultural resources.

  • Experience the tranquillity of the Wilderness Garden, cascade and pools and Cunnery Wood, the site of the old kitchen garden.
  • Visit the fruit garden with its collection of heritage fruit trees. These were planted to reflect what has grown at Shibden over 200 years ago.
  • The Mere was designed to resemble a large river flowing through the Shibden valley. It has rowing boats, an island and many wild birds.

Victoria Theatre

The Victoria Theatre is unlike any other theatre in the region. Built in 1901 as a concert hall, the Victoria Theatre is steeped in history and still retains many of its original features. Built on a cantilever system with no obstructive pillars and raked seating on every level, the Victoria Theatre’s auditorium has the size and magnificence for a sensational theatre experience for everyone.
