Sowerby Bridge
Right at Home Calderdale is proud to cover Sowerby Bridge and other surrounding areas in Calderdale. We pride ourselves on providing supportive and dedicated services at Right at Home for those who need it. Our priority is to keep our Clients in their familiar surroundings whilst allowing them to enjoy as much independence as possible.
Our fully-trained CareGivers are on hand for a range of services, from companionship, respite care, dementia care, personal care to hospital to home. We provide light housekeeping, great company for those who are lonely, medication reminders, and personal care. As you can see from our positive homecare reviews, we strive to provide the care that your loved one needs. Our caregivers are carefully matched to our clients in terms of interests, hobbies, culture and their ability to build a connection with each other.
Dementia Care
We understand that choosing care can be difficult. All of our Caregivers complete dementia specific training as part of their induction programme so they can work with you to meet your needs. We can ensure the home environment remains safe and advise on any adaptations that will make life easier for yourself or a loved one. We are dementia friends and a large part of our voluntary time is used to support local dementia support groups.
With Right at Home Calderdale, you can trust we will provide the best care and support for you and your loved ones.
We also like to take our clients out and about in the local area and these are some of the places our Caregivers like to take them:
Sowerby Bridge Open Market
One of the UK’s first solar powered markets, set by the side of the deepest canal lock in the country – a small market with a big heart.

Skylark Boat Trips
Skylark can accommodate up to 12 people. On board we have a toilet, bluetooth speakers, seating and an illuminated “disco” internal trim.
Choose from:
- A 45 minute trip which turns round at Copley Bridge, £5 per person.
- A two hour trip which stops at Salter Hebble, where we wait for about 30 mins giving you opportunity to visit the nearby attractions
The Piece Hall
This unique building is now a centre for Trade, Culture & Heritage, with a mix of shops, cafes, bars & events. Our Caregivers have supported clients to attend live music events, craft fairs and exhibitions. The Piece Hall is a great place to explore as well as enjoy coffee & cake !
